On Saturday morning mummy and daddy took me out for a walk in the wood. We met Nelson. He is a big black Labrador retriever who lives in the same village as me. I played with him for a while before his owner called him to the exit path. At first I followed them but mummy and daddy went the other way and daddy called me. I ran to daddy and sat nicely waiting for a biscuit. I heard Nelson’s owner shout to mummy and daddy ‘Well done’. I thought he meant that I was sitting nicely. Hehe, I was so proud of myself.

In the afternoon after I had my lunch daddy took me to the wood for a walk. Then after I did my business he took me back home. At first I was disappointed because I did not have a chance to play around yet. Then I saw mummy prepared something in the car. Whoopee! They took me for a ride to the beach. This one was not the same one that I went when I was little.

There were so many people and dogs on the beach. It was not too cold that day. At first daddy did not let me off the leash. I tried to pull him into the water because I was a bit thirsty. I drank some water. Yuk!!! It was salty. I did not like it but I had to try again to make sure that it was all salty. Yes, it was horrible water to drink. Then daddy told me to sit and let me off the leash. I saw mummy took something out of her bag. It was my ball. Yippee!! Mummy threw the ball into the water and I went to fetch it. I loved jumping into the water although it was salty cold water. All I cared at that moment was the ball. There were 2-3 dogs tried to talk to me while I had the ball in my mouth but I told them that I was busy. One of them was a pale golden retriever who did not particularly like to be wet. She was such a girly dog; she backed off when the water came in. She tried to talk to me many times when I came to give mummy back the ball. I ignored her so she tried to steal the ball. Mummy had to take the ball out of her mouth before she took off. Mummy also had to grab her collar and handed it over to her owner because her owners called her many times but she ignored them. She was such a disobedient dog unlike me. I played with the ball for a while until daddy said we should stop because I was soaking wet. Actually I did not want to stop but I did not have a choice.

When we were walking back to the car, we met Wallace and Murray. Murray was the one who bit my ear last month. We ran around and played all together quite roughly. Actually I like that because I was not allowed to be rough when I was with mummy and daddy. It was so much fun. When we were at the car, mummy got a bucket of water for me. I drank quite a lot. It was the best water I had that day. I was so tired. When I was home, mummy gave me a proper wash with shampoo. It was so cold because she used the hose. I did not like the hose at all. I tried to tell her to hurry up because I was so cold and tried. I wanted to sleep, mummy!!! After she washed me she had to dry me. It took her ages to dry me. Then I ngap…ngap…ngap…ngap…ZZZzzzzzzz
